Scottish Study Finds Hostility has Increased in Small/Medium Businesses

An Insurance agency, Zurich, conducted a study of small and medium-sized businesses in Scotland where they found some disturbing trends.
•More than 35% of have fallen victim to abusive and threatening behavior
•55% have experienced anti-social behaviour from customers, colleagues and the general public
•Two in 10 employees said they had been intimidated at work
•7% experienced actual physical assault
•A third considered the threat of abuse and physical assault to be greater than it was five years ago
Why?
•Three in 10 said they felt the reason for the increase in anti-social behavior was people being less caring, and more impatient and hostile.
