5/2 Redlands, CA Dollar Store Ex-employee Returns to Shoot Manager and Customer

Kenneth Savastano, 44, entered the discount store shortly after its 8 a.m. opening and approached the manager near a back office. As he was wielding a .38-caliber revolver, the manager fled toward the front of the store but was shot through the leg. A by-stander, a 56-year-old woman who was shopping nearby, was also shot in the arm. Another female employee locked herself in a back room to call 911.Savastano then drove away but was soon found and arrested at his apartment complex. A spokesperson said that Savastano worked at the Redlands store for three years before being terminated last week.
