Professor Naraynsigh was acquitted after spending approximately three months in prison during the hearings.

He was charged even though the prosicution had concrete evidence that the witness was lying.

The witness claimed he met with the doctor on a day that he was proven to be in a different country examining medical students. A letter from the Chief Immigration Officer to that effect was produced by the defence also.

The witness also claimed he met with the doctor in a building that burned down six weeks prior to the alleged meeting. The Chief Fire Officer submitted evidence to that effect for the defence.

The witness' charge was changed from murder to manslaughter in exchange for the testimony that was proven false.

The defence claimed malicious prosicution and the evidence seems to support that.

The defence team implied that the victim had an affair with a Family Physician [named], and his wife was allegedly invloved in the murder.

The prosicution team refused to investigate that allegation.
